Inter Amer Arecibo

Nursing Students SRNA

Hello all!

I am applying to the CRNA program at Inter Amer Arecibo for 2015 and was wondering if there are any CRNA graduates from that program? Was it difficult to get through the program with English being your first language? Were the people receptive to mainlanders? Was it difficult for you to get a job in the mainland? How was your experience overall and would you recommend the program for a mainlander whose first language is English?

ICUman, what was the experience of the PR anesthesia graduate in getting licensure in the states? Did they have problems getting a license to practice due to the fact that they went to a PR anesthesia program? Or was it a problem with the hospital credentialing them and questioning their education in PR? Thanks.

lol....I wish. Everything is up and running. I was hesitant to apply do to the conditions after the hurricane and at the same time was thinking there will not be that many applicants for this year ( who wants to move to and island after majorly hit?) well I was mistaken. Competition was extremely hard. Also, if considering about the programs in PR, heads up the 3 program are all applying for their accreditation for the PHD program which means here in the next year the CRNA program will only be phd and much longer than what they are now.

Hello I am currently in a program here in the island. I recommend you look at all 3 schools, and the requirements. My school has already so many applications they will actually be starting the interview process much earlier, so don't hesitate. My biggest recommendation is to apply with all requirement and start endorsement process for the PR license NOW is a very long process.

I have to disagree with you. The 3 programs have AANA COA accreditation, they are required the same amount of hours in clinical rotations as in any other school. As long as you pass the boards then you are just as competitive as any other candidate. I can speak for the ones in my school, Our students are passing boards on the first take and already graduating with competitive high pay contracts in the states.

Hi can I am also interested in applying to inter American. My concern is how well will they prepare you and if the states will authorize you to work in good hospitals. Also how is having a class in Spanish and tests in English. I want to work at maybe uM hopital in Miami

Taking the NCLEX test down here in PR within 90 days... passing God willing....I've met Nurses that got into PR CRNA school and some were from the states and some from PR. Any experiences/advise on whether being an RN here in PR makes no difference in getting into CRNA school?

Hello,

I'm looking to apply to CRNA programs next year. I did my BSN at Inter previously, and I am looking for insight on Arecibo Inter CRNA program. Were you all able to get clinicals? Was it better than the BSN program? Looking forward to your responses.

Thank you
