InteliStaff vs Kforce

I work for Kforce right now, and it's been such a joke. Never never again. I spoke to InteliStaff where I'll be moving to and I asked them a lot of questions regarding problems I"m having with Kforce and they sounded great. They sent me a book worth of paperwork. I'm going to dot my i's and cross my t's if ya know what I mean to make sure. Has anyone dealt with InteliStaff that can tell me good stuff? I'll be using them in Sacramento, CA. Thanks!

The nurse that I mentioned before still hasn't received a thing from them.

Her furnished apt had only the very basics: furniture only, no linens, dishes, tv, etc. She had to go out and purchase everything when she arrived.

Any company of that size that doesn't have 24/7 coverage with a real person in an emergency jut doesn't cut it.

What agency provides you with linens, dishes, etc. other than On Assignment? That's not a typical perk for travel!

PPR used to provide those things. I don't know if they still do.

Nursing Innovations out of Memphis does also. They also include a rental car, etc. Similar perks to On Assignment. And they also fly you to the assignment. :)

I traveled with American Mobile. They are huge and have off shoots like Medical Express. I also know someone who uses Intellistaff travel and I have never heard of the apartments being furnished without full kitchen acoutrements. I would be livid!

I wanted to know more about Interstaff Inc. Has anyone heard of them? not Intelistaff. Are they any good and do they actually say and do what they are meant to do for nurses. Or do they shaft you around? Cheers

I'm curious to know exactly how much the agencies bill the hospitals per nurse to cover all these expenses. Must be quite a bit!

They are not considered an "agency" as we call it over here. They are a nurse recruitment agency speacilaizing in placing of foreign nurses in the US.

Agency here means per diem work................ :)

i think they bill in the range of $72-78 at least thats what one on the managers in rhode island told me, but when you look at the whole picture after paying for your apt, insurance and taxes plus your pay there cut might be like $10-19 dollars per hour.

i have to admit, k-force is poor about getting back with their messages.

I have worked 10 weeks for them and have had to ***** to get insurance cards, and even time sheets. I expect more from anyone who makes money from my labor. on assignment in cinci was pretty good though. good assignment and good pay. called 1-2 x per week. My contact got smart with me, I called and told them I wanted a different recruiter, he was great and kept better contact than the first.

expect alot

make them work for the pay

don't take the first offer they give

tell then they are working for you until the contract is signed.

any company worth working for will prove it!

I don't know much about Kforce, but I am working with InteliStaf in the Seattle area. I have been with them for approx. 13 months. They have contracts with all the major hospitals in the area. The staffers have always done a good job of keeping me as busy as I want to be. I have learned a few things about how to get the best shifts from my agency:

1) I call them regulary. This ensures that I am fresh in there mind.

2) I update my availability regularly. If it changes, I make sure to let them know.

3) I try to stay flexible and open to short notice shifts, if available.

4) I call about 2 weeks before the new month. I find if I do this, it is much easier to get booked through the whole next month. It must be about the time when the facilities start scheduling for the upcoming month.

By incorporating these things, I have been very happy and satisfied with my InteliStaf experience.

In addition, InteliStaf is becoming JHACO certified. I think this will make InteliStaf a desirable choice for all hospitals in the future.

I presently work for Favorite Nurses, I think they are great. They really seem to have a grip on what's going on and I mean it's all the time. I always have plenty of options and if I'm cancel at one site they usually seem ready with another assignment. I also do some work for MSN - not going well, just feels like their fumbling around. Have worked for KForce, apparently I wasn't the only one that left. From what I understand, they lost many of their primary contracts in the Cleveland area because of miscommunication and misscheduling. Intellistaff, not worth the effort. Cathy, RN, BSN - Cleveland
