inquiry reg change of surnames

hi to all..im new here in this forum(as a member) but ive been visiting and reading this forum regularly..but i have a concern now, i dont know any reliable person that can answer my question so if you can pls help me guys..
my problem is that i have my eligibility letter now and i want to register in pearson vue, the problem is that i have plans to get marry this year, will there be any conflict if i register now at pearson vue using my surname now (as single) and just present a marriage cert at the exam site?and should i contact the state where im seeking licensure to update my record?how about pearson vue, can i register using my surname now?
pls advise me..thank you so much..

hey congrats, you are finally getting married! i will contact the state i applied for licensure as soon as possible if i were you, they will help you figure out wether you can use your maiden last name or not. i suggest do that first, before scheduling your exam date sa pearson vue. goodluck.

I see, you applied in California too. Yes, according to them you do need to let them know any changes in your address or last name. click the link below:

hi..i read the form(change of name) and i think i have to wait for the wedding day and processing of changing of names before i can register at pearsonvue...seems like I have to rush my fiance..hehehe.

anyway one more thing how long should i wait for the processing of change of name.do u have any idea??

just bec you get married it doesnt mean you have to change your name. its only a practice, its not by law that you should change it.

if you register with your maiden name, use it for pearson view bec you need to show valid identification, which might still be in your maiden name. it wont matter if youre married, as long as its your name that youre using. you cant show a marriage certificate at the test site.

if youve already changed your name then contact pearson view and the bon of the name change. but i think it would be easier to change it after the test.

Yes kalayaan is right.

No need to change actually.

In family code you can use your single surname.Just change your status to married and present the SECPA of certificate of marriage.

You cannot change it even if you wanted to until you are actually legally married and have a license to prove so. That needs to be submitted for any changes.

But there is nothing that states that it must be changed. Just make sure that they all match.
