INOVA hire ADN nurses?

I have heard people talking saying that INOVA facilities WILL hire ADN nurses, but all of their RN job openings state BSN required. Does anyone have any insight on this?

They are no longer Magnet and are hiring Adn again. They require you to be in the process of acquiring your BSN.

Some of the Inova facilities are still Magnet — both Loudoun and Fair Oaks. But if you don't ask, the answer is always no! :) I would apply, and find a BSN program. When I was an Inova employee, we had pretty good education benefits.

Has anyone gone through the INOVA hiring process as a new grad yet? I graduate in December and have applied to a few positions at Fairfax. Does anyone know what the starting pay there us for new grads also? Thanks!

I applied to several positions in the ICU , ED, Trauma, MED-surg floors, IMC/PCU. Basically any unit that takes new grads. They are having a new grad open house in a couple days and I may attend that to. I have interviews at a different hospital that day though so I might not be able to attend. I haven't heard anything back from INOVA with interest to interview though.

Oh okay. I wanted to go to that open house but I live in NY and have class Friday so I cannot attend. I am applying for the mother-baby unit. I have interview in the next few weeks. I also applied to Georgetown but havent heard back from them.

I can confirm they are hiring ADNs. I recently got hired on and went through orientation. As far as I know though I was the only ADN in my unit orientation. Going to the Job Fair is the BEST thing you can do. I had to sign a contract that I would get my BSN within 2 years.

Yes. I was just hired at Inova Fairfax and will have my ADN. I had to sign a contract that I will get my BSN within 2 years.

Inova Health System is hiring ADN Nurses with the following stipulations:

Within 6 months of start date, meet with nurse leader: • Identify which Accredited School the employee plans to attend

• Submit a review of transcript from the school indicating the required pre-requisites and timeline for taking the courses

• Provide a written plan with anticipated BSN completion date.

You will be committing to completing your BSN within 24 months of your start date.
