Does anybody happen to know if Inova Health Systems will hire ADN-RNs? The job postings on their website for nurse positions list a preference for BSN, or MSN, but it does not say that it is definitely required. Are there any ADN-RNs around that have become employed by Inova recently?

Did I miss these postings? Dang! I looked on the INOVA site and only found one posting for a night tele position. Am I looking in the wrong place, or are these 150 jobs gone already? Thanks for any info.

When I search right now, I see a few New Grad positions: Ortho @ Fair Oaks, Stroke Unit @ FFH, Med/ surg @ IMVH (part time), surgical unit @ Loudon and then I see the ad for RNs to help with the transition to Epic. Are these 150 jobs you're talking about for the Epic transition?

Well I was offered the job at Fairfax Hospital. Now I just have to decide if I want to take the position. Unfortunately what they are offering me is actually less than what I currently make. On a positive note, it's on a unit that I would really like to work on. Decisions, decisions.

Inova is a great employer -- I worked for them for several years before I commissioned into the Army. If you can afford the pay cut (and does this involve a move for you?), it's probably not an unwise decision. And the fact that it's a job you really want is a plus. Good luck, whatever you decide!!

Depending on what hospital you choose to seek employment at, average new graduate pay is between $25-$28 base rate, an hour, which is not including shift differentials.

Does anyone have any information on the EPIC Project Inova is doing? From the job posting they're hiring nurses to teach the new EMR system to the other clinicians part of the Inova family and then work as a nurse or be oriented as a new nurse

Yes, I was just hired for one of these positions; I start on July 10th. I'm a recent, new grad (never worked). Starting salary is about $25/hr plus differentials.

Wow Congrats! that's exciting. I heard they had 2 different set of interviews for the same position. Are you from the first set?
