Hello everyone. I have to wear all white to work and I don't mind it much. But these days I cannot seem to get away from getting ink stains on my uniform. If it is not by my own clumsiness or just by the ink trolls, lol. I have been using clorax and trying to pre-treat the stains but I am not successful.
So does anyone have any tricks on removing ink stains from uniforms?
Thanks in advance and I am excited to read the responses.

Let the stained garment air dry because putting it through the dryer will set whatever didn't come out.

Google it with the exact name of the pen you need to remove - I found that the 90%(?) isopropyl alcohol will get some sharpie stains out; you can make a paste with it and powdered detergent (liquid probably works too). As a last resort, dry cleaners have chemicals just for the purpose...
I also used a laundry product called Spray & Wash. It's a solid stick (like roll-on deodorant) that you just apply to the garment before you wash it. You take your scrubs off and rub the stick on the stain, then you can leave it until you next do your laundry. It's also good for grease & things like spaghetti sauce & MUSTARD stains. And BLOOD!
And without sounding like a hausfrau, I suggest throwing a scoop of oxyclean into the laundry. It'll keep them white. Take it from one of the 'oldtimers' who wore 'whites' for a long time - a long time ago! Oxyxean is good for BLOOD too.

hairspray, the cheapest stuff you can find
guys beware - if you use your wife's Alterna spray like it was water, you will
have bigger problems than just an ink stain

Shout Advance has gotten out many a stain for me, including set-in ones. Spray it on, let it sit--the longer, the better--then wash normally. Give it a try.
