I am posting here 3 hypothetical questions to clarify the infection control mechanisms that I am trying to learn.

Please let me know, what will you pick for each. Please treat them as "SATA"

Q1 ) Pt have TB

a. always close the door

b. negative air pressure

c. have pt with n95 mask on transfer time

d. have the nurse wear n95 mask on transfer time

e. have nurse wear gown and glove when entering the pt room

Q2 ) Pt have varicella

a. always close the door

Q3) Pt with Pneumonia

a. open the door

e. have pt wear surgical mask during transfer time

Q4) Pt with RSV

a. open the door

b. have nurse wear surgical mask during transfer time

c. have nurse wear gown and glove when entering the pt room

d. have nurse wear goggle, eye wear

e. have pt wear surgical mask during transfer time

I posted something similar to this in the morning bc i came across these questions.

I am going to answer it to my best and would equally like to be corrected if i didnt get it right, this is exactly why i posted the thread today;s morning.

here are my answers-

we are same page on Q1

Q2 - i would select "a b c e '' (air bourne + contact)

Q3 - same page

Q4 - a c (rational : contact only)

please share your thoughts... also looking fwd to other responses from rest of the folks.
