Hello all I know this has probably been covered before but I can't seem to find an exact answer. I've recently started looking into ISU lpn-bsn but was wondering where the credit by examination courses are taken? Is it through excelsior? I do not want to use the college network btw! Also, can you take all of the phase 1 & 2 courses through credit by exam?

Thank you for any help guys!

The exams provide you an opportunity to test out of certain courses, which you should have taken in LPN school. Those exams are similar to the actual class' final examination. You will be given an opportunity to review the free study guides for each exam and make your own study notes for the exam. The study guides will also provide you with suggestions for books to study from. Of course, if you are flush with cash, you can buy the expensive TCN study guides, but you do not need them to study or pass the exams. When you have the subject mastered and ready to take the exam, you pay the challenge exam fee, locate a proctor and take the proctored exam. Once you have passed the 4 challenge exams, you are free to apply to the nursing school for admission.
