Ivy Tech - ATI Questions

U.S.A. Indiana

Hello. I was wondering if someone could answer some questions i have about ATI. Do we have to buy all the books? Do they make you buy them in a bundle new? If so how much were they? I've read on different places that they make you buy the mastery set for a couple hundred dollars new, can't be used. Thanks for any help.

I expect we'll have to buy new, especially lab books. In my anatomy classes our lab book needed to be filled out and submitted a few times per semester, so we had to purchase new there as well.

I graduated last May from Lpn-RN. The Ati bundle is brand new but the cost is included in tuition. As for books, you don't have to buy brand new, many students borrowed or bought from previous nursing students. I liked to get the most updated versions though so I didn't have to deal with page conversions between editions of books.

The ATI is included in tuition as the PP said. We got ours I think on the second day of school. These are books you really need to have new as they have the latest information in them. You need them to take the ATI tests also. These are probably the most important books in the program. As for the others, I always like the have the newest editions as they have the most up-to-date info in them. It's important in nursing. You will need to see what your instructors want. Some people bought old editions and the pages were not the same and some of the info was left out so they were kind of lost in some classes and our professors were not catering to those who bought old editions.

The books are great for those who like books. If your school uses ATI, all the books, every single page, are available at the ATI site. That's part of what you pay for when you pay for the testing.
