In person Cali BON endorsement experience.

I decided to fly out to Sacramento On March 18th to attempt to get my License paperwork done In Person. I will be updating this thread based upon what I find. I don't see any threads doing this.

3/20/2015Yea. I fave family there in Sac and want to see San Francisco. Atleast they will have my application in hand rather than in the mail and it will start eliminating variable that could affect the license process.

So my flight is on the 18th. I will land. Rent a car. go to the BON.

What I will have on hand are:

1. Application(Typed and filled)

2. Passport photos

3. MONEY ORDER NOT CHECK

4. Copy of sealed transcripts(along with the ones mailed directly to them)

5. Nursesys scan has been sent a week ago.

6. Copy of livescan paperwork(Typed)

I will be applying for temp and permanent.

They will have everything for temporary on file, however the difference for the permanent paperwork has to be evaluated on paper.

Submission date was 3/20/2015. It says awaiting educational history. Even though I gave everything in person. They are probably still a little backed up. its been less than week though

3/30 I received a message saying I missed one transcript which I did. I did get it forwarded.

4/6 Temp License issued. I got it in 12 business days!!!!!

Impressive.

Ned, any thoughts on if it was simply having the livescan done in state or if going to the office helped?

LiveScan is probably the key factor.

skipping the mail room helps

I agree that the Livescan helped, even though I applied for my license at a time in late 2013 when it didn't seem like the BON was this backed up. I got my license about 6 weeks or so after mailing my application. Thankfully, I thought about doing Livescan on a whim while I was in CA on vacation.

I did live scan in CA on Jan 21 and mailed in my app the same day. The check was cashed Feb 6. On Mar 25 I got a letter saying that I needed to verify my licenses (which I did on Jan 21) and send copies of my degree, SSN to the BON. They also wanted a specific clinical log from my school. I sent the documents back last week but I know my school has not sent their paperwork back yet (they sent it in Feb but I requested they send it again due to the March letter). I checked Breeze yesterday morning and there was nothing but last night my license showed up as a permanent. I am a Canadian grad but have been working and am licensed in several US states. I applied for the perm and not the temp.
