NYS-LPN f/t & Mother. I started out with TCN in 2008, did Health and Safety and passed. I finally decided to enroll this year, and I've been studying here and there for Chronicity. I took one of EC's practice exams and got a 60!!! This was so discouraging!! Reading the texts and SG101 notes made me feel like I know so much of the material already from LPN school, but then the grade I got on the practice exam was like a slap in the face. I've been rescheduling this exam for about 4 months now because i'm so afraid to walk out of there with a 60!!! I try to study but I know I'm not studying enough, life always gets in the way. I only have to take Tansitions, Chronicity, Repro, The Lifespans and Informations Literacy, and ofcourse the dreaded CPNE!! My goal was to be finished with testing by the summer of 2011 but It's not looking very possible right now! So depressing! I scheduled Chronicity for Thur Dec 9th and i'm not changing it. I'm gonna keep studying and praying, and I'm gonna let God's will be done. :crying2::crying2::crying2::crying2::crying2:
I just needed to vent, thanx AllNurses!

With a 60 on the practice you'll probably pass. Did you take the second one?
Right before your exam review all of the questions answers and rationales.
You'll be fine.

You are probably more prepared than you think. Good luck.

I have gotten some pretty lousy scores on the practice tests, and still have gotten A's & B's. Just study the questions on the practice exams and the rationale, I have found this to be my best prep for these exams.

Just jump in there and do it! I agree with the other post, dispite the practice scores, I usually do way better on the acutal exam. You can do this, I log in here to keep motivated and be inspired by all the successful people that post on here. When I am down and want to quit, they keep me going and usually only read the post. Its enough to let me know to keep on going. Good luck!:)

I always do terrible on the practice exams then end up passing the test!! You are probably more ready than you think! Just take a deep breath, say a little prayer, take your time and read each question carefully. :redpinkhe:redpinkhe
