Am I alone?
I got scared off from nursing last semester, and decided to venture somewhere else for a brief moment. Of course, it wasn't for me, so I decided to go back to nursing. The problem is I have one pre requisite left before I'm applying for fall of next year. I made great study buddies that will be going this fall, and I'm having a hard time not mentally kicking myself.
Granted, I did end up pregnant again, by a birth control mishap, and would have been due 9 days before the last day of what would be my first semester in nursing school - I'm just having a really difficult time not beating myself up over not just doing it, and trying.

Everything happens for a reason. I can't imagine being pregnant in nursing school. I had a rough time with my first pregnancy though. Think of it this way, your study buddies will have infinite wisdom for you once you get into the program. Don't beat yourself up over it. Enjoy the time with your baby :)

I think "what if" all the time, but that's a pointless question :) at least we know now! ♡

I completely understand the kicking yourself feeling. I wanted to go to nursing school about 5 years ago but a lot of people told me not to, that it wasn't a good idea, for a bunch of different reasons so I continued on with my path of study then and now I have an undergrad degree that I will mos likely never use. The good thing is now that I have an undergrad I can apply to accelerated programs. The bad news I have loans on an undergrad I won't use and waiting made a lot of my life-science course credits too old for consideration (I'm having to take them over).
I'm in my late 20's and I'll be 30 when I finally become a nurse. My husband and I have toyed around with the thought of getting pregnant while I'm in school. I've noticed in the nursing schools/programs here in CA this happens often - but it seems like too much to handle.
Best of luck to you!

A newborn and nursing school? I would not. That is just too much stress for your body to handle. Just enjoy the time and realize deep down you did the right thing. I know of people who have done it but they would not recommend it to anyone.
Thank you, all of you. I guess things happen for a reason, huh? I probably would have gotten in this fall, and had been due finals week. Which would have been horrible. At least this way, baby will be almost a year old when I get in next year. :)

First off, I wanted to post because a Doctor needs his T.A.R.D.I.S. Secondly, instead of going with my instincts to pursue nursing, I went the dental route and regretted it once I realized that hygiene would be BORING and that it is very difficult to find work in my area. I used up 3 years of time pursuing something else, but I'm back on track. Do not feel discouraged! Enjoy the time you will now be able to have with your newborn and know that you will be ready and rested next year.
