Hey guys! So I recently got accepted into a school in Boston and I'm super excited but I'm getting a bit anxious...I live in Virginia so it is a bit far (my best friend and cousin live there though so I won't be alone) and I'm very close to my parents so it's a bit scary but I know I'll be fine. What I'm worried about is that the program is accelerated. I've gotten all As and Bs in college so far (while having a job-i won't work during NS), I'm a good student but I'm worried I'm not "smart" enough for the accelerated program. I know I'm letting my fears and anxieties control me because everyone else says it'll be hard but I'll do a good job and it'll be worth it. I guess I'm here because I need some encouragement from nurses who've most likely been in the same position-being scared of making the wrong choice in regards to which school to attend etc etc.. I believe that going to Boston will be a great opportunity for me to grow as an individual and I'm scared of letting my fears hold me back.

You are clearly intelligent if you have made As & Bs in your courses and got accepted into nursing school. You have to realize nursing school is some of the toughest courses you'll take, so, commit to being dedicated. Your social life may take a bit of a hit, but remember this is a means to an end. During winter/spring/summer breaks go home if you can and be with family, friends & do lots of things you enjoy in any down time you have, it will rejuvenate you. Good luck, focus, you can do it.
