immunization records

I have called my former pediatrician & all of my previous schools. No one has a copy of my immunization records. I really need these for my final acceptance into the nursing program. I am so upset. I have called everywhere that I can think of. I was wondering if anyone else has run into this problem. Hopefully I'll figure something out. Thanks.

Have you asked your Mom? When I was little my Mom took me to the Health Dept., so that we would always have access to the records. The Health Dept. keeps a copy of all immunization records. Hope this helps.

I ran into this same problem. My high school no longer has a copy of my shot records since I've been out too long, and my pediatrician is retired. I ended up going and getting a blood test to prove that I had had the vaccinations.

My mom can't find the records & she didn't write all of them in my baby book, just a few of them. I have a DR. appt. next week. Hopefully he can help. Just when I thought I was in & everything was running smoothly, another hoop pops up. Thanks.

I couldn't find mine either, so I went to the Health Department and they sent me to get a MMR titer to tell if I had the vaccine in my blood or not. Not really a hard thing, but stressful, because of not knowing if I was going to have everything in on time or not!

NOTE: Ask how much the titer costs first! I wound up paying a total of $200 for the lab test and blood draw, when I could have just gotten the stupid shot again for $75.

mom, schools, county governments, doc's, hospital of childhood.....

Hey all!

Yep, I had to go and spend $200.00 on titers, no less, because I could not find any of my immunization records. Amazing, isn't it? I have all of my kids records, from the 23 year old to the 4 year old, cards I don't want to throw out (that are well over 15 years old)...but think I could find that stupid piece of paper saying I had my shots? Nooooo, of course not... I mean, it's not like I don't have enought stress with school and work...let's worry about shots, right? :)
