Immunization & Health Requirements + 10 Panel Drug Screening

Published

Hey everyone. I'm currently preparing to start nursing school this upcoming Spring, but I'm having difficulty finding a place to get all of my health requirements and drug test done. I do not have health insurance and my college does offer these services but since I'm not enrolled in any classes this semester, they won't allow me to have it done on campus.

I need proof of:

MMR - Titer

Variecella - Titer

Tdap/Tetorifice

Hep B - Titer

Physical Check up

Urine Test

I needed some recommendations/advice of what my best options are. Thanks so much.

Hi did you get in to PCC? If so, congrats!

I got my titres done at the county health department for 15$ each. Don't forget to save your reciepts - you can use them as deductions on your tax return!

Hi did you get in to PCC? If so congrats![/quote'] PCC was one of my top choices but unfortunately I'm only an alternate. I'll be attending Chaffey's nursing program instead. Are you choosing PCC for sure or waiting to hear from other schools?

Thanks. I called the county health department before any other place and they told me they don't do the titers at any of their locations. I spent around $280 on just the titers today (excluding the other vaccinations and TB screening). Excuse me while I pull all my hair out! Just kidding.

See if there are any walk in occupational health centers near you. We have a Banner occupational health center in my area that did the titers, physical, and first of the PPD series for $260. Then the second PPD was $40. I later found out my health department would have done the PPD for $12 each but owell. And $280 isn't too bad compared to what I have seen some people on here list as prices. Those things can get expensive.

Yeah I remember you were waiting from PCC. Yup! Im going to PCC. Sucks! I have to quit my full time job. I work for the county. But I gotta do what I have to do! I cant wait to start in January. Chaffey? Where is that at?

Oh yes... Because nursing school will be our full time job for the next two years! It'll be well worth it. Chaffey is in Rancho Cucamonga. Have you heard of it? And do you live near pasadena? Did you already get your CPR, BG check, and all that boring stuff done yet? I'm scrambling to get it all done by the end of dec!!! Ahh!!

Thanks for the info! $260 for everything! Wow. Sounds like a really good deal. Also, do you know where I can get the urine/drug test for low cost? Seems that a lot of places don't offer this.
