Where can i find the list of health insurance providers in australia so i can check on each company? Insurance is very important as we don't know what may happen to us along the waySent from my iPhone using allnurses.com
Hi marklouiemarco,
If your going for IHNA, enclosed on their course information booklet is the need to have the OSHC and they listed HBA and Medibank.. I got my insurance via HBA which is now under BUPA HBA is joining Bupa - Bupa.. They offer certain types of health insurance depending on the type of visa you are applying for.. Like mine, I have my classic visitor visa (in compliance with subclass 456) which is around $89/month and the coverage is really good.. You could try it also..

Hey guys i've submitted my visa 456 application last thursday but still no reply from the embassy. Can someone give me their timeline for the visa application? I'm for ihna's feb intake thanksSent from my iPhone using allnurses.com
They usually send request for medicals after a week. Mine took 6 days.
So you did not receive any acknowledgment email from them for the lodgement? Just an email after a week? Was that 6 days for you or 6 working days?

No acknowledgement emails. That was exactly 6 days after submitting my documents when i received an email from them requesting for medicals. All i have are receipts from via center. Btw, where did you lodge your visa applicaltion?

13 & 14. just answer it honestly. It would be better that you are currently employed so that they will really be convinced that you will be going out of Australia once your course will end or before your visa will expire.
19. elaborate further. you can tell them that you are complying AHPRA's requirement, blah, blah...
23. Yes
24. Yes, you intend to study...
25. No. You should not be telling them that you will be looking for work as your visa will not allow you to do so. Remember that your only purpose of entering Australia under 456 is just to undergo a short course in completion with AHPRA's requirement.
Good luck!
