Hi. Anyone here applying for Student Visa? I'm back reading on this thread and majority are applying for Tourist Visa Subclass 600, either Tourist or Business stream. I'm actually opting for a Student Visa because I read somewhere (can't remember where, though) that Student Visa is required when processing for tax refunds regarding the Bridging Program. I know for a fact that we could include expenses incurred for BP in (future) income tax deductions but what I'm not sure of is if it would matter what kind of VISA one used for the BP. hence my option to go for a Student Visa.
Any input would be appreciated! :) Good luck on all our applications.
With the constant request for Professional References from AHPRA/NMBA to ANMAC and the DIPB, I was wondering if anyone had made use of the same reference that was submitted to ANMAC for their VISA applications?
ANMAC has specific template that the reference be addressed to them, has anyone used the same for their visa application and encountered no problem?
Thanks in advance.

You'll need a CoE from a CRICOS approved course to get a student visa. I'm not sure if a three month non-award course such as the IRON would actually qualify, it depends largely on the institution you will be studying with.
As for tax returns, tread carefully, ATO can impose hefty fines and launch an audit retrospectively for 5 years. You cannot claim tax return for studies to obtain a new qualification. Since you will be coming from overseas, your initial qualification in Australia will be nursing and cannot be exempt from expenses used for obtaining the qualification.
They still give a 1 yr subclass 600 multiple entry visa. I think majority of the students in my batch got them. As long as you state the purpose on your application form, they will consider it. After 3 months, just exit the country and re-enter. Then stay for another 3 months. Most of us did that :)
Hi! Just wanna ask if you went home to Philippines for your exit? Or you went to other countries?

I was still employed when i had my BP done last year. I went back to work right after I completed the course. I was working in the UAE. Some of my batch though went back home for exit and returned just like 2 days after. As long as you exit after before the 3rd month, doesnt matter which country.
