Do i have to take all the GE courses that the community college has or can I just take the Pre-recs that the university needs for the program?

You only have to take what you need.

Are you doing the RN program at community college or at the university ? Because if you are going to do RN program at JC you can wait on GE. If you are going to university before RN, you need to complete all transfer required GE first.

Just do your pre reqs there isn't any point in wasting time and money on classes you do not need. Thats what I did and it worked out fine, that is one of the many pruposes for community colleges is to get people ready for Universities at a more affordable cost.

meet with a counselor at your community college. make a plan and map out what classes you need to take and when. also use assist.org to make sure the classes transfer. at community college you take English 1A, its the same class at university, just way cheaper at community college. do the GE classes and the pre reqs for your program. you need a certain level of English, math, ect to graduate from a university.

I'm going for my bsn. So I wanted to know if I needed all the GE classes that the JC says you have to take for the ADN or can I just take the pre reqs the university says will transfer?

Take the pre reqs the University said will transfer. Counselors will try to get you to follow what the community college wants but just follow what you need for the BSN.
