To whoever,
I'm an LPN graduate and just now i found out that i failed the exam here in nyc for the 3rd time.
I did pretty well on my course, its been a year but if i remember correctly i got an average of 90 for the year. I have read three review manuals of which one was an online course with the videos from their review. I have done many practice questions but now i'm just at the end of it all.
I have to face it i cannot pass this thing and i do not know what to do. I could take a live review course again, actually my course offered a review course but all the person did was go through the review book they sold and highlighted what she thought was important. Mind you that was with about 180 people from the two campuses at my course so it was hard to really ask her any questions. The LPN course was very difficult to get into and it was inexpensive compared to other lpn courses but I'm just at a blank now of how to get through this thing.
I have a chance at my current job to get a really good position instead of pursuing this impossible exam. That is, impossible for me anyway.
I'm sure tomorrow I'll feel better after a good nights sleep. If anyone has any advice of any kind feel free to let me in on it, otherwise good luck and have a good night.
it helped me to keep reminding myself to be calm, relax take one question at a time and to keep saying over and over and over again I CAN PASS THIS TEST
give yourself the boost of confidence that you need. The test are hard and I have faith in you that you can pass the n-clex. If you can pass nursing school you can pass the test.
Good Luck
keep us posted

hello Simon. Lemme say that please don't give up. You did not come all this way thru school for nothing. Show the NCLEX-PN what u r made of. I do have a resource you can use. I use it in my LPN course at my high school. It's called ATI. ATI has several books and CDs that shows skills. The books are really great becuase it offers an explaination as to why the answer is wrong or why the asnwer is correct. The ATI books offer questions that are similar to the NCLEX-PN. Try to review with these books and I'm sure you'll pass... I wish you good luck and God bless. :):):)
You live in NY so you can take it as many times as you need. I also know of someone that it took them 6 times before they passed it. It really sounds like you may have test anxiety I would honestly see a doctor to see if there is something that will calm you down and just relax. Just don't give up :)

I thought of you today simon b/c i failed my test the first time, i never came back and posted that here but i did and i was crushing for me, but i went back and i took techniques from here and sites from here and mixed them with my own books and study habits and went back and retook my test on the dec 19th of last year and i found out today that i passed. I told my dad though if i did not pass i was going to give up but i realized that this is something i crave..I want to be a nurse and i want to help ppl so if i didn't pass then obviously i need to do more studying and that would only make me a stronger nurse. I have a friend from school who is mexican and she's taken the boards 3 times and failed and it all b/c she having some problems translating some of the words to english me and a few other girls helped her in nursing school so that how she passed and now we are getting to gether to help her again so she can hopefully pass and she is going to go take it again she said she would keep taking it until she passed. I hope to hear soon how things are with you and hope to hear of some great new soon :)
