Most BSN accelerated programs around here you have to have a bachelors degree before you can be eligible. It sounds like they are talking accelerated because those programs are 2 years or less. However with an associates degree in art you are probably going to have to take a lot of science pre-reqs if you havent already done so. I know WGU is offering a 2 year bachelors degree option for students with an associates degree or higher. But like the above person said you need to check with whatever 4 year you are thinking about going to and never rely on advice from the college you are currently attending for what you can and cannot do at the 4 year school!! Good luck
what degree did you have before starting nursing school
I think you need to check with an advisor.....your AA degree unless it has Microbiology, Anatomy and physiology, chemistry....you will have prerequisites to take for nursing school.
If you are transferring to a 4 year school......to do a traditional 4 year BSN program your degree will give you an edge on admittance over other students....... provided you have good grades.
I think you need to check with the admitting school for their requirements. A "transfer" is applying, from scratch, to the next college and seeing if they will accept your courses or make you take others.
what degree did you have before starting nursing school
I had an AA prior to starting my BSN program...I had 95% of my prerequisites done and 100% of the required sciences done.
Make sure you have all the science and most of the other requirements completed for the schools you are interested in.
