HI!!! im a foreign nurse. And i just recieved my immigrant visa last week. Im set to leave for the states, particularly in FL to work in Spring hill Regional Hospital in a weeks time, and i do not know ANYTHING about that place, or even places near it, the people there, and what its like to live there. I hope my adjustment in FL will be smooth and slow paced. Im so anxious. Im single and i have nobody with me once i get there! I've searched the internet about that place and it seems that its not the type of "america" which i am looking forward to work and live in. I would appreciate it very very much if somebody can tell me something. .. thanks!!!

I live in and I sent you a PM

I work in the Dealership industry right now and will tell you from my expertise that it is better to buy from a reputable dealership then from anywhere else because the dealer has to stand behind their product, never ever ever pay MSRP, let them do your financing but know what kind of rate you qualify for first, if you have good credit then don't let them charge you more than 7% int, dealers make money from "bumping" your rate but can also help you by having banks fight for your business, if you are buying a used vehicle look up the retail and wholesale value on KBB.com and settle on paying a price somewhere inbetween those two numbers, research, research, research, if you are a knowledgeable consumer then no one can have the oppurtunity to take advantage of you period. Never buy more car than you need, vehicles depreciate at least 1 to 5 grand the minute you drive them off the lot depending upon what you purchased. I will reiterate the fact that it is better to buy from a franchised dealer because they have to stand beside their product, always get a warranty, most dealers offer a free 3 month 3000 mile warranty at no cost to the customer, especially if the buyers guide on the window states that it has system coverage, stay clear of vehicles sold "as is"....

I live in the Port Richey area and worked just south of Clearwater - It was an hour drive. Spring Hill is north of Port Richey so you can count on a drive of approx. 1 hr. 15 min. to 1 1/2 hours one way each day. Good thing is you'll be going North and traffic is faster. Unfortunately you will probably be traveling US 19 which is a horrible road because everyone on it is nuts. Once you move north to the Spring Hill area you will like it, a lot less hectic than our southern cities. Though propertyis expensive it is a LOT less expensive than Clearwater / St. Pete area. Example: A new home in Spring Hill will run you approximately $300,000 (that's 3 -4 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms and a three car garage, LR, DR, Family room and kitchen). We just bought a place near St. Pete that was built in 1971 for $380,000. Been pricing things from Spring Hill down to Sarasota for the past year. You'll be in the most reasonable area and civilization is moving up that way with new malls and hospitals as you read this. Good luck, and welcome to America.
