Im living in the Lancaster CA area and I need a job as an LVN!!!!! Ive looked for 3 months and nothing. Anyone have any suggestions? Ill travel 20 miles, doesnt have to be in Lancaster Thanks everyone for the help
Beggars cannot be choosers. In a terrible economy you cannot be too selective about the job offers that you are receiving. I would have taken the $16 hourly job instead of remain unemployed, especially since many southern California jobless LVNs would have jumped on the chance to have that position. It would have added to your resume.I also went to the agency for home health and they were offering 16 dollars an hour- that is horrible money!!!!!
Antelope Valley = major saturation of nurses. Period.
There's like a career/tech school on every block in that area! Not only that, but there isn't much work out there. I've heard that Antelope Valley Hospital has completely phased out their LVN's for RN's.
I'd just take the $16/hour and work with it!

Hospitals out here usually don't hire LVN's and Keiser in the Bay Area is one of them. I'm unsure about other areas in California, I heard that Fresno still hires LVN's in the hospital, but that was over a year ago, maybe things have changed since then. I made more as a CNA than a LVN making $16.00 an hour, again I'm in the Bay Area so cost of living is a bit higher here. Good Luck to all.
