So sorry, I was speaking about starting RN salary which on Long Island is minimum $45,000 to start. That's about $23.50/hr. With starter houses running in the $300,000 range and taxes for small home $4000 to $6000 a year, not so great really.

I would say bye bye AFTER I contacted the better business bureau, and AFTER I had a meeting with them to discuss exactly how they value their nurses. If a union is available, involve them...Good luck. Next time get in direct writing and when you(if you do) go to a new facility, tell them exactly what you want and indicate you won't accept anything that isn't put into writing. Pardon me for asking but is 14.50 an RN or LPN starting salary? Sounds kind of low to me....
OOps sorry, guess I missed a couple of posts. That is low( around here) even for an LPN...
