I'm celebrating that after 10 years of needing to take 2 antidepressants, I'm able to stop one! A bad case of burn out about 10 years ago and not admitting it for the next 2-3 years, lead me to a terrible depression. Finally getting help and support allowed me to continue to work. I was on 2 antidepressants along with Xanax and ambien to be able to work. I've been off the Xanax and Ambien for several years. With the help of my primary care MD, I'm now tapering off 1 med. The fact that I changed jobs, went into a field that always interested ome, helped. I work as a parish nurse for 2 churches and a day care. I truly feel like a new person. I never imagined that I could take this big career jump. God had a plan for me. Many of you have offered support in my low times, just wanted to share the good times also!
