hello! I will be taking my first nursing entrance test on August 8th. I feel confident in my math, and english. BUT I do not feel confident with the science at all other than the A&P. I got my GED in 11th grade so I never really had science and I havent taken it at college yet. SO with that in mind. If you have recently taken ANY nursing entrance test, off the top of your head, can you list for me a couple of things you remember that were asked? Not every detail, I am just trying to get a list together or what to actually study. I have bought 3 study guides, and studied them all, but I still feel like I would rather have a REAL answer of what YOU saw on the science portion. Who knows, maybe it will help others as well! Thank you SO much in advance :bowingpur

Why would one need a TEAS test without prior science classes? We don't take ours until we are accepted into the program which would not be until we have completed all science pre-reqs. I know some need the TEAS prior to application but they still need to have completed their pre-reqs. Just curious.

My reason for taking the TEAS early was to move up on the waiting list. Besides, I already have a BA degree. I took chemistry and biology in college.

The NET test only had Reading (Inferential, main Idea of Passage, predicting of Outcomes, Words per minute) and Math (Whole Numbers, Decimal operations, Fraction operations, Percentage operations, Number conversions, Algebra equations). No calculators allowed! My school now has moved to the TEAS, but that I know nothing about...

Neecy, our school in Ct (LPN) is now using the TEAS instead of the NET also. They are also not looking as much at the overall score, but at each individual section as well. THey aren't putting out an official info about how it is being used to rank though. This is their first year using this test, so I wonder if they are using it as a basis for other years classes too. Maybe that is why we can't find out what their qualification scores are.
