how long have you been an RN?

Do you have a BSN or ADN?

I work in the pharmaceuticals/med device industry. It can almost assure you closer to 100K if you are able to move into management positions. Work/Life balance is better as well.

Im a charge RN in a big hospital. Im 25 making 105K and i work 4 days/week. I work 12 h shifts and dont hav another job. My advice: take any opportunity of getting a pay increase. When we suffered a nursing shortage, i became a luxury to my bosses so...i cashed in my chips and hard work i put in for 3yrs and got me top pay. Be a top RN and then cash in. Take advantage.
Im in the rat race. Lol. I work 3 nights 1 week and 4 the next. Im making 105K. I work a medsurg unit. 3yrs RN experience.

What states do you guys live in? I live in Michigan and none of my friends make that much on the floor here. I decided to step outside of nursing and found a Director of Marketing and Corporate Development position for $80,000.
That's why I got out of nursing. Too many headaches, over worked and felt under paid. Now I am more on the business aspect of things. Director of Marketing and Corporate Development for a medical practice that is franchising out. I work 5 days a week but it is a different kind of stress.

Like others have already posted...most nurses on here who make that work a ton, work agency or work in management or with an advanced degree..the VA pays very well so it is possible for a nurse to make 100K but not w/o being in a leadership/management position.
k thanks
