That's it! :) my expected financial assistance for my planned application for a bridging program looks uncertain at the moment. So we are trying to look at Canada as a plan B. What I would like to ask is this: does CIC or Canadian Immigration accept an IELTS academic instead of GT? Assuming I pass my Dec 20 academic exam. :) Cause I see contradicting answers regarding this one on previous posts that I've read. 9000pesos is no joke for us as I do not come from a wealthy family. Thanks! :)

Yeah the CIC site states they need a GT IELTS. But I have a colleague who just applied last july and his Academic IELTS was accepted. And I have this ex-coworker who took a GT IELTS cause her Academic IELTS wasn't accepted. That's why I'm at a dilemma. I don't know if I need to shell out another 9000 fora GT IELTS once I'm done with my Acads IELTS. It's confusing to be honest haha. Does the CIC change their reqts abruptly every now and then?

Hi guys! I'm a Filipino and would love it if my kababayans can share their insights. I just registered recently for an IELTS Academic exam this coming December 20. What I have in mind then was to apply for a bridging program in Australia. I know that I need to shell out a lot of money in order to be eligible for one. To make this post shorter, the financial assistance that I'm expecting is now a bit uncertain. And from what I've read in the forums here in All Nurses, applying for a bank or agency loan is a big no-no. My question is, does CIC accept Academic IELTS as an alternative for GT? I've read contradicting posts here and I just want to be sure as some posts date back from 1 to 3 years. I would like to have an update regarding this issue. I do not come from a wealthy family and shelling out another 9,000 pesos for a GT program will surely hurt. Thanks a lot guys!
