I will be taking the teas test for the ICTC LPN Prog. in Sallisaw. Anyone else planning on enrolling at ICTC for the 2011 yr ?

Good luck! You will do great! You can also check your results on the ATI website at about 3:00 today, maybe a little sooner! :D

I think I need to take it again. I didn't score high enough. I don't know why I thought I did pretty good. But maybe I over complicated it. or I was just so nervous, I don't know.

I am applying at either Muskogee or Tahlequah, and I am freaking out. Im scheduled to take the test April 13th but I think I'm going to change it so that way if I don't pass I can retake it on the 13th. When you said it showed 16 people that passed, do you mean that made the 63% in math and 69% in reading?? I'm like you I don't have that many other points so my test scores have got to be great! I did by the ATI TEAS V study guide so Im hoping that that helps. I can already tell you that my Science score is gonna suck. :(...I'm sure I'm like the two of you just wanna get in and prove that I can do it!!! Do either of you know the procedure on getting chosen? I mean do they just pick whoever has the most points? Sorry so many questions, I'm just nervous.

They told me today that they accept 24-26 per class. From my scores the mean-program avg is 55.6%. I really don't know what that means. The test itself seemed easy to me but my scores were low. So i either over-complicated it or the answers were tricky, I really don't know where I messed up. I'm gonna take it again probably on the 5th. I hope. If I can't do it on the 5th then I will take it on the 13th.

025half ~ The McGraw's Hill book did not help me much either. I studied that book like crazy and there was nothing in there that helped me to prepare for this test. I wish I had the money to get the TEAS book. But I don't. So I'm just gonna try my luck with what i find on -line.

I had a really good cry this evening...I am so disappointed in myself. I know I'm smarter than that.

Hey Tippy, don't know if you are aware of this, but you can actually go to Books a Million and sit down and look at the TEAS V book, I actually went and sat for a couple of hours and looked through the book before I bought it. I know that it is in Tulsa, but it might be worth it if you went on a Saturday and spent a couple of hours. Bring a notebook and look at the diffrent types of math questions. The Hastings here in Muskogee doesn't have it, so I had to drive to Tulsa, hope that info helps. Also after seeing what was in the ATI test book I googled diffrent math cites to figure out how to do the problems, my favorite one was http://www.jamit.com.au/htmlFolder/app1010.html, at the top left corner you will see lesson content, just click that and start at the beginning. It is kinda kiddish in the fact that they have you play a game, but it really helps with fractions, adding and subtracting decimals, and rations...check it out if you get a chance...just trying to give you some ideas. Tippy-ta-ta, I'm sorry about the test. It sounds like you did what I did. I thought I was gonna do great also. I think that we over complicated it and were nervous. The next time that we take it we will do great. When I got my scores I was disappointed in myself and cried too! So many emotions!!!!

When it said that the mean program avg was 55.6 that means that out of the people that took the test with you the avg. was 55.6. I'm glad that you asked how many people they accept. That makes me feel a little better!!!

Prayingforthebest- When I was saying that 16 people passed I was referring to the NCLEX-PN. It just showed that 16 people took the test from Muskogee and 16 from Sallisaw and there were less from Tahlequah. My Science did REALLY REALLY suck the first time I took the test; thank goodness those scores don't count. I'm not sure how they chose who gets in and who doesn't. I'm making myself sick over all of it.I just want in so bad. I don't want to have to wait another year. I have already waited 2, I can't wait anymore!!!

I just came back from taking the test. Im not sure how I did??? Reading and English seemed to be ok, Science I failed and Math well that's tricky. I wouldn't say that it was hard. :confused::confused: There was a few fractions problems that I wasn't sure about, I just don't know. Did either of you retake it? I guess we will soon find out. I am trying to get in at Tahlequah. I just hate the wait. The lady told us that this afternoon we should know where we stand as far as scores so Im praying for the best :):nurse::nurse::nurse:

I took my test again yesterday for the second time and did so much better. It was around 3:45 yesterday when I got online and saw my scores. I bombed Science again but all the others I did really well on. I just hope that it is good enough to get into the school. There were about 50+ people taking the test with me yesterday. :confused:

If I read the the papers right, Science doesn't matter unless their is a tie or something like that. I think its only Reading and Math. I just checked 3:26 and I still haven't gotten my score. There was about 50 people in my test room as well, not sure where they are applying at. Did you have any other points to add other than the test points? Some of people that I tested with had degrees and experience in the medical field already :( so they will get points for that.

Yeah it is only reading and math. That's crazy how many people are applying. But the average scores for the group of people that took the test yesterday wasn't high enough to even be considered. I didn't have any extra points. NONE!!! That's why I took the test again. I guess I will just have to wait and see but I still think that I won't get accepted.

I got my results, not terrible but not good either. The same happened with my test results. The average mean was like 63% in Reading and 60% in Math. I scored above both of this and above the scores that you have to make to get into the program. I just don't understand what that means. If are scores are better than the average and higher than what is needed to be considered isn't that good??? I only have 12 pts out of 30, but I am going to stay positive and keep telling myself that I will get a call for an interview. Is the average mean only for the people that took the test with us or is it for everyone who has taken the test so far. If it is so far then I think we are doing pretty good!!!:nurse::nurse:
