ICHS 2022

Nursing Students School Programs

Updated:   Published

Hello! Is there anybody who will be attending International College of Health Sciences (ICHS) in Florida in 2022?

Specializes in oncology.

But do learn enough for safe practice?  It would be helpful to discuss the  competency you felt you acquired in this (program)  as an new RN.

Hi, I am as well as a few other people here in Bakersfield California are attending ICHS in February... has anyone taken the Advanced Placement test yet or know what would be helpful to study? I know its Pharm mixed with the med math and fundamentals but OMG I got the ATI Pharm testing and it's kicking my butt!! Any suggestions for anyone taking the AP? I take mine January 31st.

I just submitted my application for February's class but I am soooo hesitant to actually go through with it.... Are the negative reviews troublesome to any one else? I really need an online / hybrid program, and I don't know of any others, but this program has been slaaaaaammed by so many students. Multiple people, including those I know personally, state that it is a highly disorganized program. They've stated that they change teachers mid class and change the testing format without any notice then tell you to be "adaptive" because you'll have to do that as a nurse. I don't know....I'm so nervous but I've been looking to do this program forever so I am truly unsure of what to do right now.

Me! Im Super nervous because I've also read the same reviews !! But im going to give it a try and see how it goes! I have heard a lot of stories from people personally though that have actually graduated from this school and that have received their license from ICHS as well so that helped to calm my nerves a little bit, but I am reluctant about it, so im just going to do the monthly program so that if anything happens, atleast I didn't take a loan out and pay them in full with it!

Hello All,

I just finished at ICHS this passed December, 2021. I have to say, I really loved this program. It allowed me to do attend school and go to work as well as take care of my 4 kids. I took the gap/entry test for Pharm and Fundamentals and passed, so I didn't need to take that. I didn't go to clinicals until my last semester because of the pandemic, and since they were backed up at the time I had to space out my time going to Florida twice for clinicals for a week at a time (I am from California).

You have to attend residency week the last week of school (Monday through Sunday) in person [Florida] for the entire week: 2 days of clinical checkout (showing your skills in physical head-to-toe assessment (including the cranial nerves), IV's, medication, wound care, foley cath care, maternity/fetal assessment, etc. Then there's 3 days of NCLEX and HESI exit exam review (really helpful), then a day to rest and the Final (HESI exit exam) is on Sunday.

The Exit exam was 160 questions, more critical thinking questions. You have to get a 75% overall or 850 HESI score. (note: 10 questions or always thrown out). They give you comprehensive study quizzes to do before taking the test which contained about 40% of the test, so that helped.

Overall the school did require you to do a lot of quizzes and test, which quizlet definitively helped with. There is class 1 - 2 times a week for about 1-2 hours. There are simulations in different categories (psych, med/surg, etc.).

This program was my best option since I kept getting waitlisted in CA. It was only disorganized because of the pandemic and clinical sites closing at one point. They are open now and I would say go for it.

I am currently waiting to take my NCLEX along with several of my coworkers who took the program with me and passed the exit exam.

(I scored a 89.56% and HESI 1033. I studied the HESI material that they gave me, and the NCLEX review during residency week was helpful)

Good luck to you all. Professor Zakak was my number 1 person to go to when you had questions or concerns.

Hope this was helpful. I will try to come back to this post later.

Hi, do you have any advice for the gap test> (AP TEST)? im currently studying for is but im nervous about passing!

But will you learn enough for safe practice to pace NCLEX?  It would be helpful to discuss the  competency you felt you acquired in this (program)  as an new RN.

Please look at the state board results here:

You will need to scroll down to ICHS. ...These are not grade results.......rather those who PASSED or FAILED NCLEX

Hi! I’m wanting to apply to the program in Feb. I am also an LVN from CA.  However, I am kind of skeptical about It. I talked to Jackie the advisor and she said that in order to obtain our license in CA we would have to apply for endorsement here in California. Do any of you guys know of anybody that has actually went through that process? My worst fear would be to go to school and not be able to obtain a CA license. Please help!

Yes, does anyone know of anybody who has been in this program, graduated and became an RN in California?

Also, I wanted to start a What’sApp group message because I don’t have a facebook account for Feb 2022 cohort— would anyone be up for it?

Hi! So where I work I met 2 people that have became RNs through this school.... their are also a ton of people where I'm working who are going to go this route and have told me about people they knew that have finished the program and that are currently in it... I too am super skeptical, and if I didn't talk to any of those people I prolly wouldn't be doing it either! But I guess it's not hard to get our licenses endorsed, and in the mean time if we have a temp license I was told that most jobs will let you still start working with that until it's endorsed in California... hope that helps !

It does help, thank you so much! I feel so much at ease now. Thank you!

I changed my start date to June because I am also nervous and wanted to do a little more research and save more money so I can pay and not take out a loan. There are soooooooooo many negative comments but I personally work with someone who is currently attending and she said its a lot of work but du-able.
