Hello! Is there anybody who will be attending International College of Health Sciences (ICHS) in Florida in 2022?

Exactly, yes I have made the decision to attend the program, I am looking into the payment options at this time

Hello All,

I just finished at ICHS this passed December, 2021. I have to say, I really loved this program. It allowed me to do attend school and go to work as well as take care of my 4 kids. I took the gap/entry test for Pharm and Fundamentals and passed, so I didn't need to take that. I didn't go to clinicals until my last semester because of the pandemic, and since they were backed up at the time I had to space out my time going to Florida twice for clinicals for a week at a time (I am from California).

You have to attend residency week the last week of school (Monday through Sunday) in person [Florida] for the entire week: 2 days of clinical checkout (showing your skills in physical head-to-toe assessment (including the cranial nerves), IV's, medication, wound care, foley cath care, maternity/fetal assessment, etc. Then there's 3 days of NCLEX and HESI exit exam review (really helpful), then a day to rest and the Final (HESI exit exam) is on Sunday.

The Exit exam was 160 questions, more critical thinking questions. You have to get a 75% overall or 850 HESI score. (note: 10 questions or always thrown out). They give you comprehensive study quizzes to do before taking the test which contained about 40% of the test, so that helped.

Overall the school did require you to do a lot of quizzes and test, which quizlet definitively helped with. There is class 1 - 2 times a week for about 1-2 hours. There are simulations in different categories (psych, med/surg, etc.).

This program was my best option since I kept getting waitlisted in CA. It was only disorganized because of the pandemic and clinical sites closing at one point. They are open now and I would say go for it.

I am currently waiting to take my NCLEX along with several of my coworkers who took the program with me and passed the exit exam.

(I scored a 89.56% and HESI 1033. I studied the HESI material that they gave me, and the NCLEX review during residency week was helpful)

I have to Thank you for being very transparent and informative, this is what I like to hear positive information. I also love the fact you mentioned you work, you are from California and have four children and so do I. Also, I acknowledge this program is achievable and the reason you gave about the program was disorganized because of the pandemic makes a whole lot of sense.  If you do not mind sharing information on the payment options. How did that work out for you, if you do not mind me asking.

Thank you Connie for your helpful information! I am from California myself. I would love to attend the LVN-RN program at ICHS because I can continue to work full time while completing online courses. I'm also tired of all the waiting around in CA just to get into a LVN-RN program. Are you 100% sure we will be able to be licensed in CA? What was percentage of in person v.s. online clinicals that you completed? I talked with someone at ICHS and they said they have 50% in person clinicals and 50% online clinicals. Which doesn't meet California requirements. California requires at least 75% in person and no more than 25% online clinicals. My biggest concern is paying all this money and by the time I graduate CA will not except my license to be endorsed.

Hello all. It seems like A lot of cali LVN’s starting  ICHS on February . I have a friend that just finished and passed the NCLEX this month. Also have two friends currently on their last semester taking CAPSTONE. It is true, they are having such a hard time getting hours for clinical. My friends are flying to FL for 3 day clinicals and have to go back on April to hopefully finish all required clinical hours and take the final exam. My friends are frustrated because they were supposed to be done with school by now. Due to COVID everything have changed and pushed back. Some of the bad stories you probably have read about this particular school, I’ve heard from my friends too. 
I am starting the program at ICHS on February because it is a hybrid program and there’s no many choices here in California.

I believe we can do it. Let’s stick together and lift each other’s up because it will not be easy.
