I took it again for the 2nd time today.....

Nursing Students NCLEX

Hello all,

I took it in Aug and failed on 265 questions.

I took it again today and had all 265 again and it took me 5 hours and 45 minutes. It was grueling, and hard. Now I will wait for a long 2 days before I get my results (which I don't feel good about).

I don't know what I will do if I get the bad news again. It feels like everyone (wife and kids) is depending on me passing. I feel like I won't be able to face them if I don't pass again!

I will try to stay positive but it is very hard....

Platanos, I am so sorry! Just wanted to let you know that the exact thing happen to me, end of Oct, now I have started Suzanne's plan. It was so hard to pick up my book and study again but I decided that i can't give up yet; and finding this website was the best thing that happen to me, to motivate myself to get back up. I was devastated with my result and went into depression for couple weeks.

So, please don't give up, just give yourself a little break and lets do this again and this we will succeed. There must be a reason for this, lets keep praying and get back up, be strong.

Take care!

Read other posts here some sat three or four times but they passed. Hang in there and do not give up the Faith.

Can you talk to your instructors or some one about this?

What were your strengths and weaknesses?

I do wish you well in your future career because you CAN DO THIS.

I know what you are going through. I didn't pass on my first try too. This is how I passed on my second try...

Dished out $300 for Hurst Review online and followed it to the T. I learned the core contents like the back of my hand and follow the strategy like it too. When I took the test the second time around, I knew I passed it when the computer shuts off after 75 questions. I was hitting questions in the application/analysis level most of the time. I had very few knowledge based questions. Check it out.

Hang in there~!! It took me 3x to pass the NCLEX!! There is hope, and things do happen for a reason!!! Keep your head up, refocus, and try another method of studying.

If you can I highly recommend Kaplan class. If you can find a classroom program along with the online one. Being in the classroom was the key for me in passing my boards.

Lots of luck, please keep us posted!!

Remember stay positive and know that GOD will bring you through when he is ready and will never know why if it's not but never give up on him, and go ahead and claim RN behind your name. Plantanos RN:monkeydance:

Just so you know other people are going through what you are. I have failed the NCLEX 2 times and am taking it again probably in January. I got married in June and I feel like my husband is counting on me to pass. I feel like I have let him (as well as myself) down both times. I will tell you what people have told me. "It is what it is. Try again and all you can do is your best. If you know that you have done your best that is all people can ask for". Pray HARD! and maybe try to do a review course. But I wish you the best of luck, and remember, no one knows how difficult this test is unless they have taken it. You can study days on in...but you have to get the "right questions". Keep your head high...you will be a great nurse!
