I didn't use suzanne's plan, but I did Hurst Review. I felt that Hurst Review was really helpful. I passed the test with 75 questions and felt pretty confident after the computer shuts off. Of course, I prayed a lot too. You don't have to know everything, but you have to know the core content like the back of your hand and also know the why's behind everything.

I know what you are going through. I didn't pass on my first try too. This is how I passed on my second try... Dished out $300 for Hurst Review online and followed it to the T. I learned the core contents like the back of my hand and follow the strategy like it too. When I took the test the second time around, I knew I passed it when the computer shuts off after 75 questions. I was hitting questions in the application/analysis level most of the time. I had very few knowledge based questions. Check it out.

Most people get their result by the 3rd day at the BRN website: http://www2.dca.ca.gov/pls/wllpub/wllqryna$lcev2.startup?p_qte_code=RN&p_qte_pgm_code=7800 If your name does not show up by the third day, it is because a candidate failed to meet minimum competency or there is a delay in processing your paperwork. Hope that helps.

I just took my NCLEX today and was stopped at 75 questions. This was my second time. Contrary to what one supposed to feel after the test "Bad", I felt confident that I did good. Here are the breakdown of the questions as I remembered them: 6 select all that apply 1 med calculation 5-10 knowledge based question The rest are priority/assessment/teaching type questions such as 1. assess/see first 2. best/most important 3. including the following in the plan of care 4. most important teaching about giving a med and other variations. What do you guys think? I would appreciate any comments. Thanks.
