This is my NCLEX story. I am grateful for this site because it helped get me to where I am today. First off future or repeat test takers always put god first, he promised us certain things, if you ask you shall receive. Whether you believe it or not your destiny is in his hands so you should make it a priority to talk to him. I am no holier than thou, I am a conditional church attender, but I do pray on a regular basis.
My NCLEX story beging In MAY 2009. I could not pass HESI for the life of me. I prayed to god and I still failed. After failing 4 times I had to look at several things in my life and study habits and adjust accordingly. With suggestions from friends who passed, studying diligently, and god I was able to pass on my 5th attempt with a pretty good score. I graduated officially and was granted my RN, BSN degree on Dec 18, 2009.
Next I was waiting for my ATT not studying at all just relaxing. In January I called the school they siad they were sending the info out on the 19th. In February I still had no ATT I began to make phone calls to the board of nursing and my school to see what was going on. Eventually on February 22, 2010 I received my ATT. I felt like MArch 29, 2010 would be a good day to take my NCLEX so I scheduled my test in the mean. Also in januaury I decided to enroll in a review course since I was jobless and wasn't doing much. If you live in or near Cleveland, Oh I have an excellent review course pm me if you can or leave your email, yahoo im whatever.
I n Febraury after being jobless for months I was finally able to obtain a gig with a behavioral health company (not nursng related). All the things in my life were falling in place, I asked god and I received. I was so scared to take the NCLEX after my experience with hesi I was really scared. Praying and my review course decreased my anxiety about NCLEX tremendously after being scared of the test i became super confident.
That brings me to today I sat down for my test at 7:50a I walked out at 9:50a, I had 75 Q. I had meds, SATA, endocrine, inf disease, pic, sounds , charts. After I was done I didn't know what to think. I feel like I picked the answers to the best of my ability. I will come back when I find out to let you future nurses know if I made the cut. I believe I did. I know this is lengthy but I just have to spread the knowledge, give hope, and encourage future test takers. Also I did not think the NCLEX was difficult there were some meds I didn't know but not a lot. If you pray, study correctly, visit this site, and if you have a review course you can attend (not recommending it all, but I am a procrastinator and if I had not taken my review idk where I would be today) you will most likely pass.
Good LUCK FUTURE Nurses and God Bless
