Virtually nobody leaves the test center seriously thinking that they passed.

This examination is designed so that the vast majority of students answer only 50 percent of the questions correctly. This test works like a balancing beam: if you answer questions correctly, the computer throws progressively harder questions right back at you. If you miss questions, the computer spits out questions that it deems to be 'easy.' Therefore, very few people leave the test center feeling absolutely certain that they passed.

i feel yourpain!!! i took my test yesterday. shut off at 85!!!! i feel like i failed, but after reading many posts here, everyone does. i have checked the computer a hundred times today (knowing the results won't post til tomorrow) hoping for some relief!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ughhhhhh

I understand what you're going through because I waited 4 weeks for the letter that said I passed. Incidentally, it came on my birthday. Try to keep busy and do something fun, you certainly deserve it!! One of the girls in my class answered 97 questions and found out recently that she passed. Think positive!

Hey I took my test in August in California and it took 3 weeks & 6 days. Thats better than 4-6weeks. Good luck, you probably did fine.:balloons:

took nclex pn shut off at 85 im nervous.......

That's normal to feel nervous, I do not know a nurse who didn't feel like they failed, so don't worry

I know its hard but try not to worry. I called the board today and there processing Sept. 16 test today, so your almost there. i took mine on the 12 and was told that my letter was mailed out on Friday but i found nothing in the mail today. I am so nervous i just start crying. But in the end it will be what it will be.;) Try not to worry, its in Gods hands now. Good Luck to you my friend.
