I think that I have been GroupOne'd by a Baylor manager that I faced off with on my second horrible shift as a travel nurse. I have been PRN since and have been constantly cancelled. I then applied to half of the Baylors, all of the HCA's and most of the Texas Health Resources hospitals. I have stellar reputations as an ICU/PACU RN in Louisiana and Missouri. I even worked at a top ten hospital in St. Louis. I have passed background checks for law enforcement positions recently. I have a spotless reputation and am completely UNABLE to get hired in the DFW area. I know that all of the hospitals in the metroplex are GroupOne and I heard most of the staffing agencies as well. Nobody will touch me. My debt is accumulating and soon my credit will be impacted. It appears that the top ten hospital in St. Louis where I worked is now a GroupOne client. I was told that I would always be welcome back there and now they will not return my calls. I have also heard that GroupOne is in my home state of Louisiana where I hold a spotless nursing license and am also having a hard time getting a job at home in New Orleans. I am getting the GroupOne report on Monday. If I have a bad mark, some people are going to get sued big time and exposed to the media as well. There is no limit to how far I will go to take these people down. ***-you get black listed because a petty manager doesn't like you!
BTW, I read on another site that GroupOne has hospitals in 18 different states now!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

If GroupOne has spread into 18 different states, that is a rather scary thought that sends chills up and down my spine.

Group One should be sued by every nurse on the planet that they have "black marked". They are an illegal company violating a person's right to privacy as well as Texas Workforce law. The law states a potential employer may only ask 1. Employment dates 2. rehireable or not. They have been allowed to exist far too long and need to be shut down.

Here is the list of clients that are on the Group One web site. You might try some others that are not on this list. You should also request a copy of the information they have about you and write a response to it if necessary. Here is their web site.

According to their web site, this is their list of clients. I guess they don't post the complete list.

I don't think they've spread to 18 states, as I'm pretty sure their constant violation of the Fair Credit Reporting Act would get them shut down if they expanded too much. Having said that, I used to work with a tech who graduated RN school & was offered an awesome internship at Parkland. The manager where we worked together reported her for job abandonment on her last day of employment because she left at 6:00, after clearing everything with the house supervisor & charge nurse, so she could take her husband to the airport.
She started her internship at Parkland the next week & during orientation was informed that she was no longer a "valid candidate." She immediately knew what had happened (this manager pulls stuff like this all the time), and hired a lawyer. She filed suit against the hospital, the manager who reported her, and I think GroupOne as well.
Long story short, 2 weeks later her "record" was cleared up.
I also met an agency nurse who was reported. He hired an attorney & filed a counter suit against that manager. In addition, his lawyer called GroupOne directly. Again, in less than a month, it was all resolved.
Most of the people who have so many problems getting their records cleared are asking GroupOne to remove the black mark because it's wrong, a mistake, etc. They don't care. All they care about is getting paid by their clients. You have to threaten them and the person/institution that reported you to get any results. It's nasty, but there you go.
