I'm sorry things didn't go well for you. I love LTC for the residents, but not management. Seems like lack of support is an all too common theme these days, esp. in LTCs who are owned by management companies and corporations who don't have a clue and only care about the $$$.
I pray you find a great job with support when and where you need it.
I am so sorry it had to come to that. I know the feeling too well. The place I used to work is probably better than some, but I still hated not being able to do all that I felt I should do as a nurse.
Better places certainly exist. I wish you luck and hope you will eventually find the place where you will feel happy to be and thrive.

I know they always say to wait until you have another job before you leave but I didn't. The only way I could have kept this job is to lie constantly and say I had done nursing tasks that in fact had not been done. I don't feel comfortable lying about treatments not being done, blood sugars not done etc etc etc. Any nurse who wants to keep their job at that LTC has to be a liar. So job hunting here we go again.
