I have a quick question; I just can't figure it out.

During the interview process chairs should be at 90 degree angles. Does this mean that both chairs are next to each other parallel to each other facing the same direction or facing each other?

Every job interview I've ever been on had the same configuration.

Interviewer behind the desk, me in front.

Thinking about it now, every interview I've ever been on involved people of my generation. I guess we just didn't get the memo.

It sounds like she is talking about a PATIENT interview- in other words- taking a history. Obviously the exact angle doesn't matter at ALL ( and I can't believe anyone would be tested on that?) but the point is to position the chairs in a manner that is amicable and doesn't put the nurse in a position of authority. I generally drag my chair next to the bed, or if we are both sitting, then I think 90 degree sounds about right.

L shape. I saw that question in some type of continuing ed online class I took. I don't recall the title of the class, but yes, it was patient interview.
