I picked the perfect time to get lazy...

I'm currently in MEDSurg III and no matter how much I read, study, and practice questions I still feel like I'm not retaining the info. This makes me not want to do anything. I got burnt out from peds and now my brain is completly lazy.

I picked the perfect time. Peds was a cake walk compared to medsurg III. The info is so heavy and I really need to step it up.

Stay awake for 48 hours doing nothing but studying--really helps to put things into perspective; seriously.

I am unmotivated right now, too. I think I'm ready to graduate already--not really.

The only tests I failed in nursing school was second semester, med surg, I pulled all nights the night before so went into the test with no sleep. I wasn't studying, had home stuff going on. But 90% of the ones I missed was from stupid errors on my part. Yet when I took the test, although I had no sleep, I had 5 hr energy shots and I really felt ok. My test proved other wise.

I don't know how to come across as sarcastic on the internet :o, which is what I was trying to do.

What I should have said instead of trying to "funny" was staying awake for that long was torture for me, so each time I start lose motivation, I reflect upon those sleepless nights and realize that I don't want to go through that again and voila, I'm suddenly a lot more motivated.

LOL Staying awake all night is torture indeed! The first year of nursing school I would stay up all night drinking red bull and studying. One of those nights, I made a 98% the next day, so I can't say it didn't work. And it's not that I wouldn't study ahead of time...it's just that I seriously felt like I would fail my test if I did not study until the last minute!!! I never ever feel like I've studied enough.

I got the sarcasm, that is why I was adding in my experience with the staying up all night as well. Like as a similar experience. :p
