I passed the teas test today! I studied so hard. This was my second time (only allowed 2 times) so if I didn't pass I would have to wait until Jan instead of Sept. AHHHHHHH!!!! What a relief.
Dear hopingipass...First off I want to congratulate you on passing the TEAS test!! That is sooo awesome. I am taking it in a couple months and am nervous as well...can you give me any advice about your study tips...any classes you took beforehand etc.?? Tahnk you ahead of time for responding:specs:
Hey Cancergirl24 thank you for your congrats! I feel so relieved now that its over and done with. Now the real fun begins. You will do fine. Things to know are math, science, reading and english. You have to know algebra, metric conversions are important, ratio and proportion, decimals, fractions and a little geometry. Area of a circle, circumference of a circle, area of a triangle, area of a right traingle, etc... . I got a math tutor to help me a month before the test. The study guide helps also, and the online questions on testprepreview. com. Know your chemical and physical science, life science, and a little bit of basic physics. Reading is a lot of comprehension and reading graphs and maps. English you would think is easy but brush up and puncuations, sentence structure, spelling, and contextual words. Relax, relax, relax! Time yourself on math questions so you can get used to doing them under a time limit. Make sure you complete all the math and don't run out of time. Give youself a min. per question, this way you may have some time left to go back and check your answers. Hope this helps a bit. Always stay positive! Put it in your mind that you already passed!:redbeathe
I am taking the test Tuesday 7/8 and I really hope I pass!! I have been studying for 1 week very hard!! I have been using both the print version of the study guide and the online assessment program through ATI. Tonight was my first attempt at the comprehensive 170 question exam and I got a 134/170, which is an 80%. i did pretty bad on the Math: 72% and 64% on the science. But...as it was my first try after a week of preparing, I now know what to focus my studies on. I kind of already knew my weak spots were earth science and algebra/geometry, so I am not surprised at my score.
I want to second the comment to pay close attention to the English, especially contextual use of words, punctuation, and SPELLING.
I consider myself english/language savvy and I still made careless mistakes that brought my overall score down.
