  1. Congratulations!!
  2. I'm 43 and will be starting NS this fall. I'll be 45 when I graduate. I've always been one of the older students in the class, but that didn't bother me in the least. Congrats on getting back to school and following your dreams!
  3. I will be 45 when I graduate in 2010.
  4. You are not to old at all! I'm 43, single, and have two kids ages 8 and 13. I started my prereqs when I was 40 and will be starting a BSN program this fall. I'll graduate at the age of 45. If nursing is what you want to do...go for it!
  5. Congratulations! That's wonderful news!
  6. Thank you! I'm sooooo excited! Congrats on your great grades! It feels good to be done for awhile, doesn't it? I've been out for a couple of weeks now and it's been nice to be able to think about something other than school.
  7. Hang in there!! It will go faster than you think. Just keep busy, busy, busy (which won't be hard with the kids). Any chance it will come early? The acceptance letters (email) from Sac State were supposed to be sent mid-May and I received mine on May 6. I hear you about getting stuff done! I should really make a list of all the stuff I want to finish up this summer so I'll be organized when I start NS in September.
  8. I applied to three ADN programs and one BSN program. I was accepted to the BSN program at Sac State.
  9. I applied to four and got into my first choice school. I start in September.
  10. I started my prereqs in the fall of '05. I went part-time for the first three semesters and full-time after that. I finished the last of my prereqs this last semester (spring '08) and will be starting a BSN program this fall. I'm a single mom of two kids and went through a divorce in the midst of it all, but came through just fine! Hang in there...it will pay off in the end.
  11. Congratulations!!
  12. I don't have my checklist of what I need yet, I'll be receiving that by the end of May. I do have two stethoscopes, I have some friends that gave me a congratulatory gift when I got accepted to NS...they gave me two nice medical dictionaries (a large one and a pocket size) and two stethoscopes. She couldn't decided if I should have black or pink, so she got me both!
  13. That's wonderful news! Congratulations! Shock is exactly what I felt when I received my acceptance email from CSUS. Shock was followed by much jumping up and down and screaming and giggling for several hours afterward. I'm sure it must have looked rather silly from a grown woman...but I didn't care!
  14. Congratulations!! That is wonderful news! Enjoy being in the clouds, you have earned it!
