...For those coming out and thinking the test was way too easy, pls don't think you failed 'cause I knew I passed right at the end of 75 questions and I passed! Kaplan gave me so much confidence! 75 questions, 95% of my test was "who to discharge first, essentially, most, initially, at greatest risk of.." etc. Absolutely no "select all that applies" thank goodness! I prayed not to see any of those. Not that I was afraid but I knew I would do much more better on prioritization questions than anything else. To me, the Kaplan strategies are all you need to pass nclex. It was very easy for me to eliminate 2 options and arrive at the answer even when I had no idea of the particular syndrome/med in question. If you have the money, pls don't wait, go for Kaplan! If you don't, buy their book and study those strategies. Even when you know the content, the kaplan strategies helps you land at the correct answer without wasting time. 75 questions in less than an hour. Wasn't counting but I know I started at 8AM and left before 9AM..
Don't get me wrong Saunders is also good, especially for content review. I used it for nursing school and Hesi exit exam BUT for the big exam(NCLEX RN), my "two cents" is KAPLAN!! WOW!!
