So i took the nclex on December and failed. It stopped at 75. I need tips on how to study better this time. I already scheduled and have my test on 5 weeks. How should i study?????
I would take a look at the CPR (What was beloe, what's near and what's above). And just go on from there.I disagree with post about "failing with 75 questions means you were not close to passing in any category". My experience is testimony for that.
I've used Davis and it's good.
best wishes!
Maybe a rephrasing is in order: to fail at 75 questions means the tester was so far below the passing standard that the computer 'knew' that no matter how many more questions were offered, there was no way to get enough above the passing standard to pass the exam at all.
To me, that means "not close to passing in any category", as the minimum number of questions is all that was offered. I suppose the CPR could still say "near passing" in this or that category, but I think a better approach would be to refresh content knowledge everywhere, as the only way to pass is to be able to apply all the knowledge necessary to all the potential scenarios in all the categories.
Maybe that is a better wording? The bigger part of the picture is that the test stopped so early, there is much to be done before testing again.
OP, I wish you much luck! :)

Compare your CPR from both attempts and see which you did the weakest both times and go from there.
