I need to vent!

Published

I spent 2 days working on some study questions for a quiz today. I had 6 pages for 8 questions. I REALLY went all out to make sure I had everything I could possibly need for those questions.

Ok, I went to class tonight to take my "Study Questions Quiz" and it didn't have ANYTHING to do with the study questions!!!!!! :angryfire :angryfire :angryfire

I understand that after a week of class I should have known the answers to the quiz, but I have spent most of my time trying to answer the study questions, write a 3 page report for the same class, and watch the video lectures.

I would assume someone would say maybe I am not summer school material, and I can't handle it. If that were true, then how could I have made an A in Microbiology in an 8 week course? (Most of the colleges in the DCCCD offer 10-week MicroSUX classes, not 8, and I think MicroSUX is much, much harder than A&P.

Another thing, the lab instructor is just there to babysit us. He doesn't have any say so on grading, testing, lab procedures, etc. NOTHING. He is mad as well. (He's a light-skinned white man, and his face was red!!!) lol

The school uses a lab manual copywrited in 1992, the statistics are all WAYYYYYY old. Per our lab instructor, the tests are the same tests that a Dr. XXXXXXX wrote, and that man has been retired for about 15 years!!!!

Oh well, I need to go study. Hopefully I can learn enough before I have to go take the lecture test Friday.

I'm not sure what kind of grade I'm going to make in this class....sure is hard to think after finishing 101% in A&P 1. Hopefully I'll still get right in to the RN program no matter what the grade.

Thanks for letting me vent! I feel better now.. :)

Does your college have ADAM software on their computers? ADAM is an AMAZING program. It's a 3-D interactive anatomy program. You can view every system, inside and out, from flesh to bone, all sorts of disorders, what the affects look like on your body..EVERYTHING. It's very expensive to buy, but our school has it on computers. It's a GREAT way to review for practicals and to just visually see what the eye can't!

Specializes in Operating Room.

We didn't use it for A&P 1 at my main campus, so I doubt this one does.

I've heard about it, I wish they did.
