Hi
I would like to travel nurse in California for 13 weeks and maybe more, who knows, maybe up to a year. I am thinking San Diego, Santa Barbara or Oceanside, or even Lake Tahoe. I am thinking of using American Mobile and want to go in mid-November. Is there anyone out there who are thinking of travelling on their own and are like me and want to go with someone? I'm from Canada.
I am just starting looking into traveling and shooting for around the beginning of March. My initial thoughts were about Charleston, SC or Savannah, GA. I think it would be awesome to know someone else in that's in the same boat in a new place. Plus, does anyone have any info/advice on companies or hospitals in this area. I saw a couple of you were going to Charleston
I have never been to Charleston actually. One of my friends attended college there and suggested it. When are you looking at traveling there? I won't start traveling until March probably due to prior committments.
I am still looking and applying to different companies...have settled on one yet. We should keep in touch!
I also love Charleston but the pay is very low there. I was quoted $22-$26/hr because they are regulated by the state.
I am presently working in Supply, NC and living on Oak Island across the street from the beach. I love it. My agency is Trinity Healthcare Staffing out of Florence, SC. My recruiter is Kathryn Gooden and she is very sweet. I had three or four agencies looking for me and Kathryn worked hard to find a position and get me started.
Hi RNNLove, I am looking into going to Charleston starting in March. Are you working in the ED there? If so, what hospital? And most importantly how do you like it? I'm assuming you have already started. Which company did you find an assignment there with? It would be great to hear back from you about all this! Hope to hear from you soon
i lived in gaithersburg, md (not far from washington dc) and i loved the area, really nice during the summer and the winters weren't that bad, a little snow but do-able. lived there before i started traveling.
the sights are fantastic....i especially loved going to the museums (all of them), the washington monument and even did a tour of the white house before all the security really tightened up. the clubs (if you are into the night life) are nice and and the ones in georgetown (expensive) but are great. i would love an assignment in md.
i'm not looking for a travel buddy at the time, my husband has been able to spend some time with me at all my assigments. however, good luck with your search!!!
Im in Southern California now (originally from Canada) and wouldn't mind a buddy. I'm getting ready to do a contract in Long Beach and someone is staying at my house in the Palm Springs area to care for my 2 dogs as I also still have a lease here. Details, details,....Feel free to PM me.

I'll go with you. I'm in Houston until the end of October. I've worked in San Diego before and definitely look forward to going back. I travel with my 8 year old son.
