Okay I'm in my 10th or so week in LPN school. I knew before I started that it was going to be hard, but I had no idea how hard! I'm currently a CNA but I don't work. I study for my test but I'm still not passing? I use flash cards , I study the power points, and I read but nothing seems to help me pass! I'm not failing drastically but it's still failing ! I want this more than anything I've ever wanted , so I need some tips! Please , anything is worth trying! The only thing I wish I could understand is, I can take any basic and pass it with an A but I get in nursing school and I'm boarder line failing! Any advice ?

Lots of students who easily pulled As in pre-requisite courses find themselves barely hanging on to Cs in nursing school. That was certainly my experience when I first began my program.
My only tip, one I wish someone had given me in when I was struggling with Pharmacology and Fundamentals in my first semester, is to buy and regularly use an NCLEX PN preparation book. Practicing NCLEX style questions of the things you are being tested on may help. It definitely helped me.

Are you struggling with the actual content, or the NCLEX style questions? Do you know your learning style? Are you aware of any barriers to your learning?
There are hundreds of thousands of complementary things available in nursing. Practice NCLEX questions, even if you don't have a book, google for it (this is what I do and personally it helps me a lot). Do your research on HOW to answer NCLEX questions. There are many books (made incredibly easy series is great) that put the info into an easier to understand version. Watch youtube videos, record lectures (with permission of course), and continue what you're doing.
Nursing school isn't easy and it definitely will suck up your time.
Thank you both so very much ! I'm open to try anything cause what I'm doing isn't working. So thank yall

Hi! Is there a particular book you recommend? I don't start until fall and I have lots of time on my hands and would like to get started in an area I think might give me trouble
I used the Saunders book Saunders Comprehensive Review for the NCLEX-PN® Examination, 5e (Saunders Comprehensive Review for Nclex-Pn): Linda Anne Silvestri PhD RN: 9781455703791: Amazon.com: Books
I think any NCLEX prep book will do. However, you might be required to purchase a particular one by your school so I wouldn't spend too much money on one until you begin school. Many public libraries have the books available. Or you can find them for cheap at a used book store.

Several of my instructors said to get more than just one Nclex book, to get several to get a variety of different styles of questions. Saunders is a good one definitely, Lippencotts PN, Kaplan, etc. what also was mentioned above the incredibly easy books. The Success books are great too, like Fundamentals success, OB, and Med Surg Success.

I am struggling the same way in all my courses. Ive made it so far into my program it would be crushing to know I wasn't able to make it through to the end.
