Nurses General Nursing

Hi there

I am a first year nursing student and I need to locate an "online nurse" who can answer a few questions for me. If anyone is interested, please answer this posting and leave me your email address and I will contact you.

Thanks so much

DC student

Maybe there should be a thread created for nursing students that are looking for experienced nurse help on these types of subjects?

I was thinking that same thing, Angela. Perhaps a thread that invites people who want to help with these types of assignment to respond, and could be made into a sticky?

This is a message to all the people who are inquiring about why so many student nurses are asking for help:

I am a student nurse who found help through this website. Unfortunately, because of the state of our health care system in BC, we are forced to communicate with an online nurse in order to get experience. It is actually a great way for us to meet nurses from all over the world in order to get an idea of what health care systems are like everywhere.

The reason that we all posted at allnurses.com is because it is the quickest and easiest resource given to us. I apologize if this has inconvenienced any of you, but we all have a project to be done, and since it is for marks, it must be done promptly. We cannot pass our praxis class without this interaction.

I am actually quite surprised by the backlash on this. I finished my online interaction quite a long time ago, and had nothing but positive responses from many different people(18 to be exact). I did, however, go onto a specific board to ask my questions, because I am particularly interested in one field.

I hope that by reading this posting, you will understand that we as nursing students are using this board as an educational tool, and you who post as educational guiders.

Please don't take our responses as backlash. There has just been alot of students posting here lately for help on papers, exam questions, etc. Which is not a problem, but when they post of several different threads asking the same question, it gets a little frustrating. My suggestion of having a separate thread for these types of issues would be a nice addition to the site. Remember, we are all in this together!
