I graduated nursing school from India in July 2012, and I have given the test 4 times already. The first time I gave the test was in April 2013, I didn't care for it and without studying I went in to give the test. The second time was in Nov. 2013, I went thru Saunders once and did only the questions from Kaplan. The third time I took hurst review, I learned a lot and I improved on the questions (I was getting 50%). By the third time I had forgotten a lot of what I learned in nursing school, so hurst helped me with core content. When I failed the 3rd time in April 2014, and got my result back, I was above passing in everything except "Safety and Infection Control" and "Basic Care and Comfort". I continued with Hurst and gave the test for the 4th time in Sept. 2014. I got my result back and i did worse than the 3rd time. I'm "Near passing" on half the things and "Below passing" for the other half. Its been 2 years now, and I'm drained out. Ive spent over $2000 on prep material, including the apps for the phone, prep courses. I just don't know what to do, i have no energy to study alone, because i put myself in a negative bubble and don't do anything for hours. I haven't found a tutor in my area that can sit with me and help me on my weak points, and I don't know what prep course to do now. I need help, I don't know what to do or how to study, I feel like giving up but I have family and friends who remind me that I failed it 4 times.

I took my boards 4 times, the first three, i was near the passing standard in everything!!! 265 questions all three times!!! The fourth try, 90 questions, it shut off and I passed!!! Do not give up. I'm in PA, if you guys need help, feel free to let me know!!!
After so many times, what did you do to prepare yourself for the fourth or fifth time? im struggling.
The fourth time I did the Kaplan Qbank questions. I felt they mirrored the boards questions closely.

First of all DONT GIVE UP!! You made it this far so you can most def pass this test! You just need to re group yourself and approach studying differently. Since you have been out of school already for a few years it would be best to pick up a comprehensive review book such as Saunders - which gives you information on topics and has practice questions after each section.
Saunders Comprehensive Review for the NCLEX-RN Examination - Pageburst E-Book on Kno + Evolve Access (Retail Access Cards) by Linda Anne Silvestri | 9780323260244 | Other Format | Barnes & Noble
Also when you are doing practice problems - make sure you read EVERY SINGLE QUESTIONS/ANSWERS!! Even if you got the question correct!! This is a biggie!! I can't stress this enough.. you want to read it and see WHY you are getting the questions right/wrong.
You have the education you need and knowledge or else you would not have made it this far.. you just need to re think how you are going about studying.
Also.. LaCharity PDA book is the best book I think I ever purchased for NCLEX prep.
