I need to choose a school to complete my RN to BSN
I've been researching for months now in order to pick a College to complete my RN to BSN online. I am so confused! The more I research the more I get undecided. I would like to hear from other nurses so I can make a choice. I've been a nurse for 21 years but I am terrified of making the wrong choice, getting myself into debt and then having to quit. I want to pick a school that other nurses recommend because they've had a good experience with it. Will someone help me please?
Thank you so much!

Pretty much any accredited brick and mortar university that offers an RN-BSN online program will do. There are even a few completely online schools that offer it, but it's trickier to see if they have proper accreditation and what kind of reputation they have.
My advice is to stop overthinking this and unless you are trying to get into a prestigious school for your masters or something, just pick whatever program is cheapest because most places don't really care where your RN-BSN came from as long as you have it.

WGU is a really good online accredited school where you can do your RN-BSN. They start cohorts every month and the terms are 6 months long so you have some wiggle room in how fast or slow you do your program. The pricing is also very reasonable. It appears to be a very good institution for people who have not been in school for a while either. I just started the RN-MSN program and I am very happy with it so far. Previous poster is correct, though, most any school would be a fine choice. WGU is good because it covers any state without inflicting out of state tuition. Whereas a lot of state schools that have the online component will charge if you're not a resident of that state and then you come up against clinical issues. WGU does not require clinicals. Good luck in your search.

It depends on what's important to you. Cost: check locally or look into Fort Hayes. Convenience/quickness/flexibility: Grand Canyon University, Western Governor's, Chamberlain. Just make sure the program is regionally (not nationally) accredited (all the ones I mentioned are), and either ACEN or CCNE accredited.

I ended up at my state's university, which has a CCNE accredited online program. Not too expensive either. I would suggest checking your state university and seeing if they have something similar.

My advice: make yourself a list of programs to compare particulars such as cost/tuition, accreditation (either CCNE or ACEN, and regional accreditation as well), total time, annual or program fees, and any other information that might help you distinguish which program is best for you. I made myself a spreadsheet to sort things out. Good luck!

I had graduated from Liberty University with my BSN. All of the classes were online. The professors were all helpful and encouraging. All of my professors were quick to reply to any questions and/or concerns. The admissions process was easy to complete.
