Hello everyone!!

I took the hesi in the beginning of this year and did mediocre on it. I received an 80, but unfortunately that score wasn't high enough to get in to the program. So, now I am studying again to retake it this august and hoping to get into this January 2015 RN program. I was told that I need to score AT LEAST an 90 on this test, so for everyone that has had high score what is your advice. I have a study guide book already which helped a little with the math. My biggest problem with math was the conversions, I couldn't remember how to do them and that was not covered in the book. The vocabulary was tricky as well, none of the words that I studied from the book were on the test. Are there any other good studying material that I can buy to help me. I desperately want to pass this test and get accepted to someones program!! I would appreciate all that help that I can get!

Quizlet was great for HESI review of vocab and science sections. For math you can try Kahn academy and just work problems over and over.

Congrats I need to take TABE which is similair to TEAS. What advice do you have for reading comp aand grammar?

Reading comp - practice. Read practice passages from any guide you can. Read the questions first if you can that way you can note the answer if you come across it as you read. Read carefully but don't get too bogged down in unnecessary details. If I remember correctly there were lots of questions about theme, main thesis and definitions in context.

As far as grammar goes I didn't really study for it since I write a lot of papers. But definitely review homonyms (there, their, they're), possessives (its vs it's), and subject verb agreement ("the data are" instead of "the data is").
