Everyone will make a med error sooner or later. Being written up about it is just a paper trail. Being talked-to about it can be standard. It doesn't mean you'll lose your job. It's just the boss following up to make sure everything is ok and that you know what happened, that you explain it as you should, and if it WAS a mistake, that you have it put in your mind not to make that mistake again.

I was called to ask if i gave a medication on Friday. Was called on monday said i gave it. But now Im not sure if i gave it? State came in and caight it. Now not sure what to do? I am a new nurse and I just started about 2 weeks ago after receiving my license about a month ago. Im scared about losing it now. Does anyone know what will happen?
